:wavey

There's a word I've noticed has recently been used quite inappropriately most of the time, applied to fairly mundane daily stuff.

I prefer to reserve its use as originally defined for truly awe-inspiring things, like great cathedrals for example.

Your videos show quite clearly that the Grand Canyon is one of the most deserving of its use:

AWESOME!

:TY

Thanks for sharing this with us and for the shout-out you gave to the forum.

Great to see someone else's adventures gwozhog ..and it looks an outstanding place to have one.

I'm sure you could have done without the police chapters in your story :busted But they make for good reading and are all part of the adventure. :Boxsmile

Looking forward to more :thumbsup

Greetings Gwozog,

simply stunning...

(Especially in 4k). Great to see the edge of the canyon had no "nanny state" safety barriers at the viewpoint. Quite a few of my kayaking friends have paddled Lee's Ferry to Diamond Creek but needed to get a permit a long time in advance. Do you need to get a permit to go upstream from Lee's Ferry?

Douglas :)

Nope you just pay for a parking pass from a vending machine. 55 dollars was the cost for a weeks pass.
I once dated a girl in High School and her Father told me I would never amount to anything. He was right!

Martin I got two Achilles inflatables so whenever your ready to do the Grand Canyon just fly into Houston and rent a car and come by my house I will let you borrow a boat. 20 hour scenic drive to Horseshoe bend Arizona.

I've printed that and I'm going to laminate it :clappy
Now I need to convince the girls that we don't need to go to Disney, the Grand Canyon would be far better :yay
