Holy Thread Revival..

what firmware version does yours have?
Mine came with 1.11 but I have updated it with 1.13 from the SH US website, having confirmed with Yaesu UK that that version was OK with the 'e' version
I've updated to version 1.18 today without trauma, installed the PC software suite too, but not had chance to mess with it yet.

I'm still finding my way around the vast menu, but it certainly seems more than suitable for my needs.
Hope your pleased with it when it arrives.

:wavey

I printed and laminated a copy, did the same with my Short Range Certificate & insurance certificate and I keep them in my boat bag. Although I can't envisage whether there'll ever be any need to produce the radio stuff ...

No I haven't seen any reviews Martin, but I have a lot of faith in Icom VHF units, and this new one looks very good to me. I am not going to buy it until next Spring though, so hopefully there will be some reviews around by then.

I have the previous model ICom (M91d) and the latest Standard Horizon (HX870), both are good handhelds.
