Winboat distributors?
Hi,
Does anyone know if winboat.ru ships to locations outside of russia (i.e. europe)? or are there any other distributors?

Re: Winboat distributors?
The F-Rib is made by Winboat for the UK/European market. My F-Rib 360 still has winboat on the transom plate. Not totally sure but I think there are a few small improvements on the F-Rib versions. @Martin will know more. We also have an F-Rib dealer on the Forum who could could sort out a deal for you.
Welcome to the madhouse by the way.

Re: Winboat distributors?
Thanks.
Yes, I've seen the F-ribs, but they cost 4 times as much as the equivalent models on winboat.ru, and I can't find any reason for that? And where I am, russia is (slightly) geographically closer than UK.
But the thing that caught my eye was that winboat offers different colors and color combinations, while the f-ribs only come in one color(?)

Re: Winboat distributors?
They have got some nice looking boats and the prices seem to be very reasonable

Re: Winboat distributors?
Unfortunately I think F-Rib HQ have the market plugged for Europe and America’s.
You’ll be very lucky to get any response from Winboat directly.
F- Rib will no doubt still do a one off colour as I have, but you pay a premium for the line stopping and change of spec.
I, like you wanted the f-rib but really didn’t want the base grey colour. The thought of having a boat that blends in with the sea just didn’t calculate in my head.
I too have seen a few f-ribs with the winboat transom plate attached, I can only presume it was down to lack of stock of the f-rib transom plates.
The f-rib and winboats are made in separate lines and as already suggested, the specs are slightly different.
Hope that answers a few questions?

Re: Winboat distributors?
Just to point out, I'm not looking to buy a boat right now, not even this year. I'm just doing some research for the future, and that is what took me to this site.
To a newcomer like me, this f-rib thing looks a little odd. If I compare the products offered at their respective sites, it's the same stuff, just with massively inflated prices. Looks like they (f-rib) want to hide their origin and make people thing that they are the unique original, and therefore make people pay.

Locally, I could get a new generic "no-name" rib with a trailer for less than the price of an f-rib of the same size. And that with small features that the f-rib doesn't have (double hull, locker etc). That is just weird, logically it should be the other way around.
But I would prefer assembling/disassembling and transport it inside the car rather than having to trailer it, that is why I'm here..

What premium did you pay for that?
Me on the other hand, would like something that is a bit more unique. Generally, it seems like 90% of all boats are grey or white, which I find quite boring and just too common. So just a full/solid yellow, orange, green, black, or something else not so common, would suffice. But with the information above, I would guess that they can't do that.
I've been studying lots of photos and videos but I cant really see any difference except the colors and logos?
More or less unrelated to this topic:
In a thread somewhere, a guy (The Gurnard I think?) was saying that a f-rib 330 is too heavy for one person to handle. As it is the size I was looking at, that put me off a bit. Would it be possible to put it on some kind of portable sack barrow? Or should I forget about it and look for something lighter?
And another question. While browsing this forum I have seen the term "wee boat" used repeatedly. What does that mean? Google did not help me this time.
Well, if no one can explain what I would get from an f-rib that makes it worth so much more, then I would obviously rather try to find alternatives.

I went and had a look at your thread. It looks like you got an f-rib with a stock winboat color scheme, that they are already offering at their site. Can't see why there would be a need for line stopping for that.Martin wrote: ↑18 Jul 2020, 16:35F- Rib will no doubt still do a one off colour as I have, but you pay a premium for the line stopping and change of spec.

I have seen that many people suggest that there is differences, but no one tells any details. What are they, if any?Martin wrote: ↑18 Jul 2020, 16:35I too have seen a few f-ribs with the winboat transom plate attached, I can only presume it was down to lack of stock of the f-rib transom plates.

Re: Winboat distributors?
“Wee” is a Scottish term meaning small.
Most people would be capable of handing a 330 or 360 without too much trouble. Sack trucks do make it easier.
I too would be interested to see what the differences in specification between the winboat and the f-rib are.

Not a complete idiot - some parts are missing.

Re: Winboat distributors?
The gurnard is a retired gent, not exactly a giant either so I think it’s fair to say your assumption In general regarding the handling of the f-rib is incorrect.
Differences between the f-rib?
May I suggest you speak to the F-Rib distributor at Hamble Point Marina, his name is Steve and I’m sure he’ll be more than happy to put you straight.
Beyond all of that, I sense with your tone that you’ve made your own assumptions regarding colours/costs/production so no point in getting In too deep, as I say - f-Rib HQ will put you straight.
Enjoy the forum, its an Andy place for Help and information.
