Hi
Thinking of buying the 2023 one - wondered what your setup is.
Anyone have the new Whaly 435?

Re: Anyone have the new Whaly 435?
No experience with a Whaly but our first boat was a 12ft foam filled unsinkable Polypropylene catamaran. Somehow water always managed to find it's way inside and get trapped, waterlogged foam core making it three times as heavy. I think they still make a version of the Sportyak today.
The Whaly wouldn't be easy to repair so although the material seems to work for rigid kayaks (nasty deep gouge recently on underside of my wife's), I'd avoid it in favour of a more conventional boat.
