Drone footage in The Solent

Post by chris moody » 02 Jun 2018, 15:50

Some drone work I was involved with this week. I was the launch & recovery vessel, and chase boat, for the drone pilot. It was awesome seeing him take off and land the drone from the bow area of a rib.

Cool video. Would be fun being a part of that. Wish I could get shots like that on certain occasions while we're out.
Wrote a note said, 'back in a minute'. Bought a boat and I sailed off in it.

I'm going to be doing some very cool stuff next month with this drone pilot and Ballistic Ribs. We are going to produce some boating instructional videos on various slow speed maneuvers. But we are going to do it in a way that I don't think has ever been done before.

If you can, post here, I'd like to see them. And also learn something new...

We will shoot the first couple of videos in July. If they work out ok we will shoot some more later in the year to build up a portfolio of instructional "How to" videos. I'll make sure they all get posted on here.
