Is a Flying Boat classed as 'The Darkside' ?

I have never really liked references to ' The Darkside '
It is a subjective reference that can offend quite easily :thud

In Microlight Aviation any reference to ' The Darkside ' is aimed at those who choose to fly 3 Axis microlights. I actually come from ' The Darkerside ' ( or should I say Proper Aircraft ). The 'Lightside ' are Flexwing microlights.

Up until I got involved in microlighting I looked at their users as Aviation paupers, so I will openly admit that I felt like I was from the Elite Club of real aviators.
I quickly realised that there wasn't any difference between the Elite Flyers & the Microlight Flyers, we all do the same..... we all fly aeroplanes.

The same goes for boaters...... it really doesn't matter if you go boating in a £14.99 inflatable dinghy from Aldi or a £25m Superyacht...you all enjoy the water.

I guess I could be classed as Greedy because I now have something that can be used on both water & the air
The RIB is definitely from the ' Lightside ' & the Flexwing is also in Aviation terms from the ' Lightside ' but in marine terms is probably classed as ' The Darkside

All joking aside I am now getting engrossed in forming a Synergy where I am relying on someone who has a wealth of maritime knowledge to compliment my aviation knowledge to get a lot more seafaring aviators interested in FIB's

Definately not the Darkside. We are going to need a whole new section for flying inflatbles. I like the Wildside!
I once dated a girl in High School and her Father told me I would never amount to anything. He was right!
