Started off cool but another great day. Kiddos were anxious to try out their Christmas present.

Thought I had more time before it would be warm enough to try so I had to rush about to pick up a tow rope, harness and pump that were appropriate for a large towable. What a pain and an expense I hadn't accounted for...

Surprisingly, the freakishly large tube was not as hard to manage as we had feared. My wife and I were able to store it out of the way and had it inflated and in the water and ready to go in about 5 minutes. Was about the same to get it up in the boat and deflate it.

It was very windy and created heavy chop. Rough ride but I think that made the ride even better.

Only the second time out with the 4-blade but I am loving it. Fully loaded with the bimini top up and in heavy wind or pulling the tube through the rough, it performed great and never sensed any stress. Only when taking off with the tube did the engine ever feel somewhat loaded. Could not be happier. :thumbsup

Ya, the pic was taken at the calmer part of the lake while we were with the wind otherwise I couldn't hold the camera still. Tube was in the air most of the time but they loved it. The lake at its worst is still mild compared to what I've experienced at the coast in the bay or even Lake Conroe near Gwoz. Will miss the fun at the coast in the SIB at WOT with just my boy and I skipping across the tops of the waves!

Did you sell your sib?
I once dated a girl in High School and her Father told me I would never amount to anything. He was right!

Yes, back in the fall. Was only on the market for a day and had two eager buyers. Completely shocked me.

That's sweet man. Inflatables are usually very tough to sell.

I was blown away. Thought I'd still be sitting with it in the Spring. The guy who bought it had one when his family was younger. They lived on the East coast and would cruise up and down the coast. The kids grew up, moved out and now it was just his wife and two dogs. Was anxious to give it a whirl down in the bay. Said he could tell by the pics that I had taken good care of it, was honest and had identified any little problem. We negotiated before he even saw it in person but still paid almost the asking price. :o

Water warming up enough that even my old creaky body didn't mind a 'cannon-ball!' into the water only to splash and aggravate the missus. whoops. Met up with my brother's family for a fun time. Was a bummer that the return boat ramp was over crowded and I also had to make a long drive back to retrieve my phone that I left on the boats console which soured the end of the day but overall, we had fun. Kids always enjoy tubing which is a bonus. Again, no fish to be had. Oh well.

The size of the towable still cracks me up. Thankfully it's been manageable.

Still trying to come up with a better seating arrangement in the back for my oldest. Think I have a good idea but I once again forgot to take measurements to help me figure it out.

I cant wait to get back up to the upper guadelupe with my SIB again. Im planning on a mid June 3 day weekend trip when the Kiddos get out of school. Hopefully we will be able to meet up this summer. I also found this country club called Rebbecca Creek up there too that had a nice pool and the best burgers and phillies too.It was great place to hang out after we got off the river.
