Re: new toy maybe
actually the pro angler is constructed the same as the 175 double skinned hull bonded onto a structural foam matrix.Paul B wrote:The warriors are very good and capable boats, my ex mate has the 175 which is a very good boat and I've been out in some pretty rough weather in it and it More than held its own, not sure on the 165, as it's quite a different boat to the bigger 175,
no wooden deck or stringers/keel ect .even has bonded laminated glass windows .its supposed to be a massive improvement over the normal 165 and built specifically for heavier four stroke motors .
I like it cos its got a cool box for me beer

Re: new toy maybe
No idea that it was built same spec a the 175' the standard 165 is quite a bit smaller overall but still a very capable craft, I'm sure it will prove to be a great new boatbeerbelly wrote:actually the pro angler is constructed the same as the 175 double skinned hull bonded onto a structural foam matrix.Paul B wrote:The warriors are very good and capable boats, my ex mate has the 175 which is a very good boat and I've been out in some pretty rough weather in it and it More than held its own, not sure on the 165, as it's quite a different boat to the bigger 175,![]()

Re: new toy maybe
just found this old thread so I shall update .
I did four trips out in the warrior and decided it wasn't for me
1. very harsh in any chop if you try going over 15knts slappy amplified by the cuddy(slow down was the advice )
2. any spray and I couldn't see through the windscreen to avoid the gazillion lobster pots dotted around the area I boat in .so ended up stood up looking over the top of the cuddy.
3. when you did get calm water would porpoise anything over 30knts
4. the only boat iv ever owned my mrs felt sick in when we stopped to fish
so i sold it to a very nice man from shetland who drove down and took it away .
i now have a valiant v570 rib with a mercury 100 efi that i am very pleased with .its not my perfect set up but im starting to think nothing ever will be lol.
oh and iv just bought a plastimo ms 310 folding rib to use on the river near my caravan
