F- Rib Inflation problem

Now I am sure this is a simple fix and that it is me that is at fault but I am having an issue adding a bit of air to the F-Rib. I am using a hand pump and just wanted to top it up a bit but everytime I tried to connect the bayonet adaptor air was released and I could not get the adaptor to stay in the female connector.
I was turning the adaptor to the right (clockwise) to try and lock it in. Am I doing something wrong? :thud
Thanks

Hi Paul, I had a similar problem with my electric pump so I swapped the connector end from the F-Rib foot pump onto the electric pump hose and that fixed it. I was later able to buy a couple of the right connectors so that I have a hand pump, foot pump and electric pump that all now fit.

Have fun, Douglas :)

Thanks Douglas
Your comments have helped to solve the problem, you actually reminded Paul of something with your comments that made him realise he may have forgotten something, I will let Paul explain :) :thud
Thanks again
PaulR

SOooo I have a confession to make :shame

As you all know I sold PaulR my FRIB but I've never used the pump supplied with the boat, being a lazy git I'd always used my Bravo electric pump
When putting all the 'kit' together I accidentally packed my caravan air awning stirrup pump with the boats kit :thud
Douglas's comment made me realise that I've an unused foot pump and didn't know what it's for  so dug it out and bingo it's got the bayonet fitting :!:

My apologies PaulR and it'll be in the post first thing :thumbsup

I'll go sit on the naughty chair in the meantime :asskick

Paul :cheers
