Thanks guys. Wishing the days away!
1st trip will be a bimble on the union canal near Falkirk so I don't have to wait for calm seas. Going to troll a lure for pike or perch.
Already ordered a 6m roll of keeleazy in blue.

Get the keeleazy fitted on the boats first inflation (on a soft surface/dust sheet/tarpaulin) when you are checking it out ie before you go out to keep the hull perfect from the onset ;-)
3M is enough to do the main hull/keel and you can use the excess to protect the chines as Martin has done

Nice one. Loving my FRIB-360. Been out 3 times now.

I bought my trolling/aux engine (suz 2.5hp) from pennine marine and when I picked it up had a good chat with the guy there. Nice chap seems like a v professional setup there. I will be getting both my Suzi's serviced there.

I second Paul's comment about the keel tape. I put mine on when the boat was brand new and its amazing how many scuffs are on the keel tape already that would have been on the keel itself.

If you are fitting the launch wheels yourself make sure you're happy with the fit and clearance when they're in the retracted position before drilling the transom. I wasn't happy so sent them back and went for the beachmaster wheels instead which so far have been great.

Here's a pic of my fishing buddy (and best man at my wedding) pulling the boat back to the car from the slip at windermere after a pike fishing session. Thats the 2.5hp on the back although on a lake the size of Windermere the 20hp might have been better.

So can you lift the boat and load it into the car by yourself when it's in the bag.
I once dated a girl in High School and her Father told me I would never amount to anything. He was right!

Hi - Yes I can lift the folded boat into the car boot on my own. I have a big car which helps (VW Sharan) so I can fit boat and 20HP engine in the boot without putting the back seats down.

Those BeachMaster wheels do look the business.
Do they detach?
How does it affect packing the boat away?
