F-Rib 360 first trip

Well I can't put it on the water (Thames)as I'm waiting on a few bits. Too heavy to heave over so a repair to my davitt winch, towing lugs later this week to hang it off and a motor lift sling from Salty John will enable me to hang it and launch without doing my back in.
(Suzuki DF6, Canopy and UV guard not fitted yet)

You know your river pubs, it is indeed, taken this afternoon as my Guinness was settling...
Any other F-Ribbers on the non tidal? We should be relocating to the east or south coast next year.

A helipad and water slide are the next projects for the boat....
Hopefully it will be on the davits, with the bow section only deflated and folded, this weekend. Looking to hang it on straps made up with stainless chain enclosed in clear plastic tubing for security.
I intend designing a lifting strap system which will allow the bow section to be unfolded, bolted and inflated before reaching the water.
Not rocket science but a lot of head scratching envisaged.

Is it tooooo long then when on the davits to stay inflated?

We are on the Thames for another year or so and if it extends beyond the width of the transom 2.75m locks are bound to cause damage. (boats full beam is 3.4m)
With the bow section folded back it measures about 2.7m.
I will try it fully inflated at a steep angle on the davits, maybe work when we head out to sea.
