Re: Beachmaster Wheels on F-Rib
Hi Kevin
I've got a set of the removable beachmaster wheels for my frib 375, my brother is bringing them from the U.S. on Sunday, I'm leaving Monday on holiday with the boat, so I don't have long to fit them. Certainly no time to be messing about trying to source items I need to fit them!
Luckily I realised that they don't come supplied with bolts!
With this in mind can you answer some questions for me?
1. Can you remember what size bolts you used?
2. I assume where the bolts come through the transom on the inside is above the double skinned floor?
I had a sudden panic when I was looking at it yesterday !
3. What dimensions did you go from the tubes, top and bottom of the transom to the edges of the bracket edge?
4. Any tips on fitting them?

If you are getting the removable ones then you do not need any bolts. The pictures earlier in this topic show the positioning. Depending on the F-rib model you are mounting them on you need to make sure that the studs clear the curved joint between the transom and the floor on the inside.
The mounting instructions from Beachmaster are at http://www.beachmaster.co.nz/#!removeab ... ions/wgx0y
Hope this helps

Re: Beachmaster Wheels on F-Rib
Hi Kevin
Thanks for the quick reply.
It is the removable version and is going on the F-rib 375.
Beachmaster told me that the bolts weren't supplied but I've bought some anyway, I just wanted to check I have the correct length.
As for worrying about drilling in the wrong place, I guess I'll just have to measure 3 times and drill once!!

@Kevin
Hi Kevin, great informative post.
I'm on the cusp of ordering an F-Rib 375 but after speaking to the dealer he informed me the beachmasters wouldn't fit as he said the boat was too narrow and some people had been caught out. Clearly this hasn't been your experience and have you had any issues the wheels at all?
Also if I could ask, I'm torn between an F-rib 360 and a 375. What was it that made you choose the 375 and what have been your experiances with the using and transporting of it ?

@Sonofgum
I think your dealer may well be misinformed... If you would like to chat with our resident F-Rib dealer, i'm pretty sure he would fit the wheels (if you wish) before shipping the boat to you..
Alan is a smashing fella with many many years experience behind him and always pleased to help out the forum members wherever possible.
Give @F-Rib South East a call/pm/email

Re: Beachmaster Wheels on F-Rib
@Martin Thank you Martin for your feedback.
As you say I think this dealer is misinformed as judging from the posts and photos on this forum there appears no trouble in fitting the wheels.
I have gone ahead and placed an order with this dealer and I'm going down to pick it up as soon as this appalling weather clears.
By the way, how do you use the Smilies to the right of this page again ? I've clicked and dragged or tried to copy but nothing comes up.
Cheers

Re: Beachmaster Wheels on F-Rib
Place your cursor where you want the smiley and then just click the smiley (i clicked it here)
You can use any smiley anywhere just as long as the cursor on your screen is t that point.
Below the smileys on the right you'll see "VIEW MORE SMILEYS" that'll open up another window with a larger selection of smileys .
If you still struggle i'll do a video
