looking at the pictures of the f-rib 460 the hull on that is very much of the modified v with a deeper forefoot for cutting and a flat aft end for planing. its a bit of a compromise as the area you will use the most is half way down the hull when up on the plane so it will slam. its a sort of a mix between a true deep V and a semi Displacement hull. i recon the best hull speed will be between 10 to 15 knots hence the low engine rating.

ok these aren't ribs but show what i mean.
If it has t*ts, tyres or floats......it's gonna cost ya!
