Hi Kevin
Think the beach masters look cracking and good value if you can get them for £185??
Quick question if I may?
In the video on the link you posted I see the beach master wheels fitted to a Rib with a transom similar to a Highfield 380 CL.
There is an overhang of around 1 inch in the form of a metal lip around the bottom of the Highfield transom (see pic).
Struggling to see if the beach masters would lock in the downward position because of the lip fouling the mechanism?
Maybe a shim of sorts would need to be cut to build the mechanism outward or a notch cut out of the lip????
Hope this makes sense.
Thanks in advance

I am not envious of the Beachmaster wheels in the slightest........................................................OKAY, so I am, strewth I wish I had gone this route in the first place ARGHHHH

It is a shame that the wheels lock up in the lifted position (according to the info on their website) because they would also work as a trolley to walk the Frib in a folded state, now that would have been very useful.

It would appear they're not really £185.. :?
By the time you've put shipping, vat, import taxes on.. Well let's just say add a little more on the top. :o :thud
Great item but not something I could justify paying that amount for. :shame

If you want to test if the Beachmasters will fit your boat try the PDF templates that are available on the Beachmaster website. It needs a bit of sticky tape to combine A4 printouts but you can check the dimensions to make sure you have the scale correct.

I did this and it worked perfectly.

The Beachmaster site says they cost 138 euro plus 60 euro shipping, which is about £185 in total. It's just the dreaded import tax that's going to bump the cost up. :(

Anyone know how much import tax cost is?

On my order Customs Duty was about £3 and the Clearance Fee was approx £13. You then need to factor in VAT which is applied to goods, postage and insurance. Unlikely to be under £240 total on current exchange rate.

Hi Kevin

I'm pretty sure the wheels will fit on the Highfield.
My concern is the lip at thd bottom of the transom.
I am concerned the protruding metal edge around the bottom if the transom will foul the beach masters mechanism as it may stop the wheels locking in the down position.
Do you have any pictures of yours in the down position from a side on position showing how they lock down.
Cheers Gordon

Spot on Kevin.
I can see that in those pics that the wheel leg nearest the transom comes out at an angle and the whole mounting bracket stands proud of the transom itself as it sits on the mounting tabs..
I wasn't sure before how the wheels would work with the metal lip on the bottom of the Highfield transom - there's a video clip on Beachmasters site showing them mounted to a small Rib with the same type of metal transom lip.
Thanks for posting the pics.
