cockpit /dodger fitting

Post by Gilly65 » 29 Jun 2018, 14:44

Hi I am now the proud owner of a FRib 330. :D Thank you very much for a good deal Alan at FRib Se.
A question :help I bought the cockpit/dodger with it and it did not come with any fitting instructions. I had assumed it would come with with the required glue but it has not. It came with two patch like attachments which I am assuming have to be glued. Can you advise me on what glue I should use please and any help or tips when i put it on.
Thank you :cheers

Paul was one of the first to buy a frib windscreen, he didn't mount his permenantly but chose to use a few cable ties to attach it.
I have to say it never moved in all the time he used it.

I'm sure he'll point you in the right direction should you wish to go that route

Martin :cheers

I assembled mine and marked around the patches, then disassembled it and used Mamoth Tape on the patches and stuck them on. That way there is a chance to move them if necessary in the future. I just didn't want to get stray adhesive on the tubes. Works just fine.

I dont have mine fixed either.I find that by siting the dodger pads just behind the last rope pad and strapping the strap behind the second rope pad it holds very tight and secure. I have never had an issue with it slipping. This way I can have it on or of whenever I like.
