My first go in an F-Rib 360 - hook, line and......

Post by RobJBradley » 03 Nov 2018, 22:58

Hey all,

New to the forum, what a find! We were looking at buying an F-Rib next year around the same time as hopefully a bigger boat, intention being it would be our tender and a very capable one.

Then we thought, I am having a smaller investment mature soon, why not buy one as soon as it does and get some practice in, and get to know our waterways.

So thanks to Alan in Faversham, he arranged a demo of a 360 with a 15hp motor.

Not really expecting much, being 3 adults and my 6 year old son, we wanted to know how it would handle the three of us, as we would be the main users of it.

I was surprised to see us hitting just over 15 knots, even Alan was happy.

Thoroughly enjoyed it, and more importantly so did my son, considering we originally thought of the 430, then on consideration of weight etc, the 375, but after a play with the 360, she is the girl for us, to watch Alan deflate and pack down so easily, gave hope that we could do it individually on our boat. Nice thing is, we could store it on our Balcony (protected from UV), and we live directly on the Thames, a public slip way 7 minutes walk, along a river path. Why should we not?

Overall we loved it, and cannot wait until we can buy one, and Alan is assured of our business. And we really loved his new wheels, they looked seriously strong and could take just about anything I think, certainly the slip we used gave it a good test.

Rob and Steve, and little Joshua.

Some photos of today.

Hello Rob, Steve and little Joshua.... :welcome to our friendly little community :thumbsup
So pleased you got a run out with Alan, He's a smashing chap and really cares about his customers.
The F-Rib 360 is a cracking craft, they handle and perform like nothing else in their class. :clappy
I see Alan has finally got hold of the beachmaster wheels for his demo, We've a few chaps on here with them and they seem delighted with their choice. A very costly but far superior alternative to the frib wheels.

I have the slightly larger and heavier F-Rib 375s, I'm delighted with it and i'm sure you will be with yours too when you make your purchase

Just a quick request if we may, we don't normally allow linked images to the forum as the hosting companies get greedy and pull the links, resulting in spoilt threads on the forum. With your permission we'll copy & upload your images directly to keep your post fully functional.

Enjoy the forum, any questions just fire away and we'll do our best to assist you.

Martin :cheers

Re images, yes sure, can understand why. Although they are hosted on our server, in our cupboard! lol. Bit of a tech junkie and it is our backup server.

Many thanks, we are still all smiling from yesterday and little Joshua is saving his pennies now for Daddy to buy his boat. Bless him.
