Hi Dave
Sorry to be a party pooper but the answer to that is: only if you want to invalidate your insurance!

You could get it written into your insurance maybe that youy have an oversized outboard.. that's something you'd have to get agreed.
however, it may invalidate your frib warranty

Thanks, didn't think about either !

Well its close to the 330 now, seems like everyone on the forum says 360 and I think so too but its hard to justify the £300 for 30cms but in the grand scheme of things its nothing.

Now it looks like its a saving of £600 but I am pretty sure I will regret it later

Tomorrow I am going to get a rope and mark it out and then we will make the final decision.

That my friend is exactly what we did when first looking at the Honwave T32 vs T38ie.
Measured to perfection and then did a make shift "everyone climb aboard"
It took seconds to decide on the T38 :drive

Have a good sit down and do readings and the working out for extras.
F-Rib S.E - Alan is doing package deals, maybe save yourself some money buying a FRIB and outboard from him as a deal - do talk to him :chat
Myself, Paul and maybe others chose non f-rib wheels, we got aftermarket ones that raise and lower somewhat easier in our opinion.
You can't buy aftermarket canopies to fit but a few of us have made them. That said, the f-rib ones are very well made and fit great!

It's what suits you, your needs and most importantly your pocket.

Hi, wrote this yesterday only for my broadband to go down just as I hit submit!
I too considered the 330, but when I thought about it - that 30 CM is the space up front that holds my anchor bucket. That means less leg/foot room for my fishing buddy up front. Space to fish 2 is just on the "good" side in the 360 with tackle and fuel etc. Really glad I opted for the 360.
If you look at Donny's video of our recent trips out (Best of Etive) you will see my 360 2 up to get an idea. BTW we were cruising at 16 knots with the 15 on and well loaded up to give you an idea for engine choice.
Any way, welcome to a great forum community.
Mike

Thanks Mike

I managed to find Think Link is that the one ?

Great video and my kind of place !, we used to go to Loch Lomond with my odl boat with Electric Outboard but the caravan site changed, this year we are going back to my favourite place (Arisaig), Loch Lomond used to be my second, does Lock Etive have a cavaran site on it ?

Martin sent me Alan's details, I gave him a call, no answer but it is a Sunday so I have emailed him.

If he can get me sorted that will be great but if not I might purchase seperate because it looks like I can get a lot cheaper than quoted and that will make the difference between getting the 360 rather than the 330.

Yep that's the one. Not aware of caravan site on Etive but there is one at Tralee bay near the entrance to Etive. PaulB would have more info on that. Thinking of staying there next May instead of our usual apartment rental in Taynuilt. I believe that it also has a slipway.

I had the 330 until recently and for my fishing with two people it was perfect BUT my fishing was all fresh water although it is fair to say that over here on the east coast, there are quite a few guys who fish two up in similar size boats. Forget the 20hp, 15hp is more than enough power.
