There's no such thing on this forum as a silly question so don't fear to ask about anything at all![]()
Like Martin I've not tried it but I'll suspect it'll still float with me aboard as they sit high on the water therefore the waterline is low (hope that makes sense)![]()
BTW the FRIB 360 and above models have all 3 hull sections bolted. The 330 has only the rear and mid section bolted and the 275 has none of the hull sections bolted so the 330 and 275 rely on the tubes for their rigidity so unlikely to float deflated as the hull will fold.
Paul the 330 has one bolt in the middle joint so doesn't rely on just the tubes, I thought the 275 also has a bolt but could be totally wrong on that one mate, it won't be the first time and it won't be the last, of that I am sure.
I have never tried it out but would have thought the 330 may be capable of floating, with even weight distribution I can't see why not to be honest but not something I want to do. Happy to let you are Martin get wet though.......

Yes mate I agreephilpot wrote: Paul the 330 has one bolt in the middle joint so doesn't rely on just the tubes
The bit where I saidPaul wrote: The 330 has only the rear and mid section bolted .
I was referring to the mid to bow hull sections ....... being unbolted and not ridged, thus reliant on the tubes for their rigidity, I'd assume the weight within the boat and water pressure on the bow would try to fold themPaul wrote: so the 330 and 275 rely on the tubes for their rigidity so unlikely to float deflated as the hull will fold
Thanks for your input as always mate
