UPDATE.....

STILL WAITING FOR AN ENGINE :thud

In the mean time I'm still agonising over the best way to use the boat having ruled out a trailer, It will fit in my small estate car, but will be cramped...... so started looking at box trailers........ then ordered one of these....

Unless dealers have stuff on the shelf any engines are taking forever to come in . Some dealers I speak to say they are not expecting engines to arrive until into November if not early 2022 now :( .

Some dealers still have stock - so it may be worth calling around to see if anyone has anything available right now.

Engine supplies have been stuffed by a) brexit - getting the paperwork to get them into the UK , b) shipping costs , c) shipping delays , d) microchip shortage and e) ( next week ) petrol shortage so the truck cant deliver them in the UK . All of these reasons as usable and hard to argue with :( ...oh and always Covid if another excuse needed!

I know owners who were promised a new mercury - derigged their outgoing Suzuki and all the wiring and were then told the merc may not arrive .... so they had to re rig the 250hp suzuki !

Someone’s been spending :clappy
Nice van and tak, you’ll be well pleased to get all that out working together.

A pal of mine has the same outboard issues, ordered a 20hp Suzuki from Bembridge Marine in the end, they seemed pretty confident they’d have it with us by January :thud

Will you convert the van to a day camper or just keep it as is ?

Martin :cheers

Then van is modular, comes with thermo insulation, lined walls roof with LEDs, leisure battrey, solar charging, front swivel seats, curtains and six securing straps in the floor. I will add removable pod kitchen, bed, awning rail, and extra removable rear seats, so can be used as a camper or empty van....... already planning a trip to Southen Spain for two months :yay
The van is made by Auto campers, due to demand it won't arrive till July :thud

FINALLY HERE :yay :yay :yay

I watched the PDI check and the guy load the motor into my fabia estate, when I got home I was really pleased as had worried about the weight, but my wife and I lifted and transported the engine into the garage no problem.

Just need a dry day now and off to Park foot on Ullswater.

Great stuff, Ullswater is a cracking place for a day out in the sib, just watch your speed as we don’t want the powers that be taking one of the lasts lakes from us.

Martin 👍🏻
