With a bit of prior planning with Hypro, all we had to do was transfer the boat across between two adjacent parked vehicles, so it was all really easy. All we had to do was park in the correct pre arranged car park.

What impresses me is that it packs down into two separate bags, the heaviest being 22kg. So it’s really easy to carry.

Just changed the insurance over to the new Takacat so we are all good to go for sea trials and prop testing.

Re: Takacat 3.4m LX - Tiny Tigga
The next steps are to get out on the water and see if the current propeller suffers from ventilation. I suspect it might as it's a different diameter and pitch to the one used by PeterM and AJ when they sea trialed a Takacat with the same engine as me (and AJ bought the Takacat they had just sea trialed on the spot). It's going to perform great once I get the right prop on it, but due to it being a cat rather than a monohull it will likely need a prop change to cure some degree of ventilation. I think I going to either have to get a propeller cupped, or maybe go 4 blade.

Curious about the wheels. How are they attached and are they custom made for the Takacat? If not, any modifications?
Wonder how a chopper propeller would work for this boat? Might be an interesting try if you're able to get a loaner.
Wrote a note said, 'back in a minute'. Bought a boat and I sailed off in it.

Re: Takacat 3.4m LX - Tiny Tigga
The wheels are really clever, they are spring loaded and just clip into the lower transom bar, in the raised or lowered position. Custom designed for the Takacat.
I think a cupped propeller is what I need. I just need to do prop testing with the standard propeller and see how much ventilation I get, and what RPM is achieved. Then I can decide what pitch is needed, how many blades to go for, and how much cupping to get added. It's all quite exiting fine tuning a new boat.
