Plotter mount now doubles as somewhere to stick your gloves and sandwich!
3 uses for the same bit of kit!!
Is this a record?????

Re: Humber 4 meter Rib
Thanks for the kind words Gents
Obviously i'm not doing this for likes, but not much point in sharing if no-ones interested.
So to continue......
Spent an hour on the plotter mount tonight and here's the result.
. . . .
Next job is to tackle the wiring. Then it will be time to fit the consul to the boat.
I've also bought some EVA Self Adhesive Foam Faux Teak floor matting.
I'm sure we've all looked at the stuff at some point and i thought this might be the ideal opportunity to try it out...

Re: Humber 4 meter Rib
Got the eva floor in my rib now, but it all templated etc . Used the basic stuff in a project boat and looked good(If I say so myself. ) nice touch on the plotter mount.
I keep seeing your steering wheel and can't help but think a new one would make the boat look much more modern?..... just a thought.......;)

Saw the floor last time went out with Peter & the floor looked great, made it look sort of upmarket, what you would get on very posh boats.

Re: Humber 4 meter Rib
I know where you're coming from mate.
I started this as a parts bin build, with the mind of keeping costs to a minimum, but maybe i will change the wheel at some point???
For now though i want to see how the boat turns out as a shoe string build.
I have no doubt that it will get changed at some point, lets face it we don't need much of an excuses to spend money on toys

Re: Humber 4 meter Rib
The boats been away this week to have some "tarting up" done.
The boat originaly had a stay dodger and at some point in it's life it had been cut off (badly!)
Also a couple of the seams had been rubbed, nothing too terrible but worth sorting in my opinion.
. . .
It's all getting very Orange!!!
In the Zodiac people complained that they couldn't see me, I don't think I'll have the same problems in the Humber...
This has given me time to finish twisting some wires together on the console.
. .
Oh and I even gave the steering wheel a clean for Pete.
Next job is to sort out what I am doing with the floor and fix the console in place.
