Keel guard

Folding Ribs or F-Ribs are a great way of obtaining a hard hull boat but having the flexibility of a sib.
F-Ribs have the 3 or 4 section articulating hinge joint that allow the boat to fold up for ease of storage & transportation. A great idea opening up a whole new world of opportunity.

Keel guard

Post by James » 24 Feb 2018, 23:00

Hi

Paul and co - Can you remember were we brought our keel guards from and what they are called?
I tried searching but loads of topics came up and I can't find the thread we updated.

I've searched google, but everything comes out pretty expensive. I'm sure we didn't pay much for it.

Reason being, we are soon going to gel coat the Avon hull orange and need to fit one.

Thanks

James

I’ve just applied this to the hull of my 360 but haven’t been in the water yet has any one used it and is it staying on?

My FRIB430 came with a rubber keel guard in the center all the way along, i need to get some of this for the outer ridges.

The keeleazy is fairly sticky stuff, unless you ground the boat or catch the keeleazy on something it should stay adhered ok.

The newer f-ribs do come with a keel guard fitted from factory.

Thanks for the replies. Sorry, it's been a bit late.
I ended up taking a chunk out of my Keeleazy guard, however it was dead easy to repair.
