Help - Spec plate in way, attaching launch wheels to T38,

Post by pealeswoop » 21 May 2019, 16:48

Hi, Just set up to start to fit the brackets for launching wheels. had a look at a few pics, seems the bracket/plate fits along/next to the seams the seams, BUT, the metal spec plate is screwed to the inside of the transom where I need to locate a bolt. Do I move the plate, or drill through the spec plate? Is it bad practice to mess/drill through the spec plate? The boat's all pumped up ready but I'm reluctant to start until I know for sure what to do. Going away with boat in a few days. Thanks in advance...

I’d move the CE plate to a more convenient location

Just gotta love Honda. So much attention to detail. Incorporate extended floor (trim tabs) which are of no practical use, resulting in structurally compromised cantilevered transom wheels, then can’t even be arsed to position the vin plate out of the way.

Should stick to making cars, motors and all things mechanical methinks. :thud
