Dry Suit - front or back zip?
Hi Folks,
I am thinking of having a dry suite made. I can't buy off the peg as I have short legs and a long body as well as a massive rib cage (played tuba from a young age, it meant that my lung capacity is huge!), so it has to be made to measure (and oversize)
I am looking at the Trident Compass
I am trying to choose between front and back zip. I know that front zip is easier, but I worry that back zip will a) be hard to zip up and; b) be hard to get into.
I am thinking that a crotch zip is probably a good idea.
Thoughts?

Personally I’d go for front zip. Make sure it doesn’t extend too far down below waist, as not comfortable when sitting. The zip in the pic extends far too low. The more current styles keeps the zip high and wide.
Deffo go for a convenience zip....but then I’m of that age!

Hey Bud
I scuba. trust me front zip is the way to go. you can get in and out without the help of anyone. You dont want to struggle getting zipped up. Just make sure you get the new plastic zipper and not the old school metal ones. Go for soft integrated socks and rock boots.
Who you getting this made with? I know a few people/places that could help.

Trident do made to measure at a very reasonable rate, so I was going to go with them. The whole thing including a fleece undergarment, all made to measure will be just shy of £500

Hey fella
I've recently got a made to measure Trident compass with the comfort zip of course and I'm happy with it. Got to be honest I don't find them easy to get into them and requires practice but I can manage with the front zip fine. Can't see the point of a rear zip at all.

Forgot to mention, use plenty of non perfumed talc on the neck seal when putting on.

Yeah @Martin. I have been a convert to the floral stuff since you lent me yours. Never will I go unperfumed again.
