hi bun,again bought a flotation suit for my journeys, on the lochs ,or sea fir the fishing . As it will be cold wind chill factor as i wont be moving , will have my pfd with me, if i happen to be warm and take the jacket off ill still have buoyancy but dont know how the trousers will act re floatation with the pfd Mind im a novice at sib,s . thanks guys Bun ,

if The floatation suit is like my old fishing one it will cover your chest area down to your knees.
So if wearing JUST the trousers it will make you float more horizontal and "could" ( not necessarily will ) make it more difficult to keep your head up out of the water.

If you wear the PFD as well as the trousers then that should overcome that tendency and keep your head up. That is what I would do.
so recap
trousers and jacket ok
trousers and PFD ok
trousers only not a good idea. :busted

trousers cag , while getting off the boat i fell in , the cag was no good water came in and because i had no belt on water got into the bib was lucky i was in about 2feet water got soaked so thats a no unless you got a belt so water cant get in

hi @bun , i have the nookie storm jacket coupled with the nookie pro bib double waist trousers and if you put them on correctly no water gets in , i dont know how long you could stay in the water before they did let water but i have been in a while and as yet no leakage . not cheap but well worth the money ( in my opinion) look it up. good luck

thanks Sonny 1 ALSO have a dry suit , ill wear that now just thought the trousers and cag was a good idea
