New Redesigned Honwave?

Post by koalauk » 18 Aug 2020, 12:02

Hi,

After owning a quicksilver cabin boat and few others I wanted get another T38 and so far no luck finding one.

Juts come off the phone from a Honda dealer as he mentiones there is a new model range being introduced with updated features?

Anyone knows anything about it ?

Thanks

Oscar

First I’ve heard, but that would be very interesting indeed.

Yeah, first I’ve heard also. Nowt on Honda website. Interesting.

Hopefully the main upgrade will be a symmetrical keel/hull shape.

Not holding my breath though. ohyeh

I wouldn’t be surprised if they dropped the 3.8 from the lineup.

Sincerely hope not, that would be a real loss.

Still the best performing sporty sib out there.

Reckon another 1” depth in the ‘V’ carried through to the transom would enhance performance and help address floor flex issues.

Biggest improvement though would be to send the floor assembly factory crew off to Specsavers, so they could at least glue the bleedin keel joint straight. ohyeh

Too true!
I agree that another inch on the V would be great.
We will just have to wait and see what happens.

They won't drop T38, it's their best selling dinghy

Anyone had any experience with yam380s ?

Just off the phone from Honda

It is true, design of T38 improved, new models coming in 2 months. They ditch the trim tabs on the transom and new lines graphic improvement added. I shall wait before ordering.

Dropping the trim tabs, is this good or bad? aI know the wheels wont look as ugly, but what about any other issues as a novice, ad Im hoping to by a T 38 , but will wait to see the new one. Not that I can get the old one anyway
