Rear shock absorber rose joints are knackered, rear suspension linkage bearings are shot, swingarm bearings also need replacing, head stock bearings need doing as well, rear brake pedal pivot bearing, etc no to be an expensive clean up,
Maybe a few less fish suppers might help????? :LMT
Might have known you’d be so rude :rofl don’t eat it anyway,

Waiting for my back to get better - again! Same time as last year, missed some great boating weather, had to cancel a run out to the Bell Rock lighthouse - on a day that conditions were perfect.
On the mend now and looking to get out soon.
(anyone that has ever had a Facet joint injury - AND a disc out will know my pain, standing was difficult never mind trying to get in a boat lol)
Why am I here - I should be in my boat fishing!!

Nearly finished my bike rebuild, just waiting on the swingarm to come back, after I found the bearing carrier had split, so it was sent away to be repaired, what started as a bit of a clean up, has been bloody expensive :thud

My turn Paul...Busting open my Jeep's transmission for a rebuild. Sucks that I already got stuck on step two trying to pull the large front and rear bearings with a thin grip edge...

Not very often you see folk stripping a gearbox these days 9-R.
I don’t think I’ve done one myself since I was in my teens.
Like everything else, its a throw away society these days.. the skills and knowledge have gone.

Console tank.jpg
Tank fitted
Spent a couple of hours getting my Smartwave 4800cc ready for Oban area in 2 weeks (Hope the weather - esp the wind settles by then) I never went for the on board (under deck) fuel tank and have often wished that I had. Last year I bought a second 30l Hulk tank. Yesterday I actually got round to having a look to see if it would fit in the console, well, it's a perfect fit!!. Hell of a job getting the fuel line routed under the deck plates. Seat box had to come off, securing bolts were a blind job while contorted to reach them. When I replaced it I pushed the bolts up from underneat then secured using stainless wing nuts - so much easier. Anyway, job done. I now have 30l in the console and another 30l under the rear bench seat and more clear deck space.

Always hear about how your kid's activities become your own but there are times it's reversed. I've been a mountain biker for the past 25 years with the hope that one of my kiddos would enjoy it the way I do.

Junior 9r's friends are in a mountain bike club and frequently race other clubs. They finally talked him into joining them for an open race at the local park to see if he liked it. He didn't want to ride his older, out-grown bike and I agreed. With some of his saved money, we cannibalized a used bike we bought off of craigslist, used his mother's old frame along with some spare parts I had left over. Took a while but I helped him build up a bike he could race, from scratch.

Having only completed the bike two days prior and ridden on the trail with it once before, he placed third in his age group having beat out his friends, except one.

Now he's hooked. He's saddened if he's unable to hop on his bike at least once every day. His endurance has increased greatly and now I am proud to have him whooping my butt when we venture out on the trails.

Awesome! I used to cycle a lot when I was a kid. We used to ride over all the old slag heaps where the steel works and coal mines used to be. We’d go out clean and come back covered in mud and loving it!
Not a complete idiot - some parts are missing.
