Fixing a swivel seat to a SIB bench seat

Hi
I want to fit a swivel bracket and seat to my SIB bench seat. Hoping that will make life more comfortable for driving the boat and fishing.
Is this safe to do or does it risk the seat detaching from the ‘rails’. Can’t see height being an issue as surely it’s only going to be 6 inches higher?
Anyone got any experience of this set up and the pros and cons?

I just posted about this exact thing a few days before you. The thread is just under yours. I was linked to another thread discussing it and apparently the benches are maybe not wide enough for the seats to be stable. The other person who did it made themselves a wider bench to combat this.
Not sure that would work for myself due to how my benches attach but I was maybe thinking of doubling up my Benches making them wider and just buy a couple extra ones.

Hi, I tried something like this a couple of years ago but was not keen on it. The issues I had was that it seemed a little top heavy and gave too much flex on the bench seat itself which are not that well secured in. Also if I wanted to spin one way or the other I found it difficult to lift my legs over the bench.
After much thought the solution I came up with was to put the seats on a Pedestal which gives full 360 rotation and is also a very comfortable ride.
