I just don't get some people!

Just a little rant but i see it all the time these days,

People with inflatable boats who decide to fit navigation lights (hard hulled vessels tend to come with them factory fitted so not as applicable)... now, that in itself is great and i applaud the thoughts of safety for themselves and safety of other boaters but...

Why do they so often fit completely illegal crappy strip lights like this crud..
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4PCS-Red-Gre ... Swo~BeZgVd
or this utter shite...
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-Waterpro ... Swa2ZeyVX0

when for a few quid more fit something like this onto your transom....
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lalizas-Tri- ... SwyKhbZEP4

Many sibbers/F-ribbers have batteries onboard for GPS and so on so there is no excuse for not to use correct lighting.

International colregs and a specific lighting patterns are there for your own safety as well as others.

my 2 cents... :D
If it has t*ts, tyres or floats......it's gonna cost ya!
