Hi mate
Yup you'll be fine visiting Swanage I've done that trip many times with my FRIB360
As you exit the harbour don't cut to your starboard if the water is low as there's a submarine barrier
Here's a map with the markers shown in red

If you're going to be towing toys then Swanage Bay is a good place to do it in, less swimmers than Sandbanks
You'll enjoy visiting Old Harry en-route to Swanage and there's a few caves to look at to.
Sandbanks in Studland Bay is also nice to visit but take care as it's an area protecting seahorses and our OB's can destroy their habitat/nesting grounds
A few of us get out and about around that area so maybe we'll meet up if you remind us nearer the time
Enjoy

I should be a man of leisure by then... still to try out my yam 9.9 on my sib. And of course still have the little rib. Should be good for days that week

Re: Pool harbour 27th
I’m free a few days that week and would love to join in. It’s been a few years since I went to Poole Harbour but I grew up boating around there when we holidayed as a family.
Baiter Park is a good and easy place to launch but it gets busy.
I think you have to pay dues if you have 5hp+ but it’s not a lot.

Not a complete idiot - some parts are missing.

In theory you need insurance and to pay harbour dues. But in reality no one will ever check. Just turn up but a parking ticket which is 15 quid for the day if you have a car and trailer and that's it.
They have a parking app or bring lots of change for the machine.
