Re: The Forum
If you have an iphone (sorry those that havn't seen sense yet)
lol.. You can now have an icon on your homescreen linked direct to the forum.
From you iOS device visit..
iWebClips.com/go and enter the code 90606
When you see the image save it to your screen and you'll now have the Fribs & Sibs logo as an app.
Martin.

I'm a little curious if anyone used this yet, or do you not see a benefit?

Re: The Forum
On an iPhone you don’t need it.
Go to the page you want to have your browser go to - I use the “Active Topics” page.
Click on the share / export icon at the bottom of the screen. Then select “add to home screen” (you may need to scroll to the side to find the icon) Edit the info if you want, give it a pretty name Click on “Add” and you’re done!
I use this all the time.

Not a complete idiot - some parts are missing.

Re: The Forum
Guys, as you know we’ve done loads of work behind the scenes to make the forum a little more user friendly and informative.
We’ve a little request to help assist us,
When you’re creating a new topic can you please use the make/model or manufacturer name in your header please..
For example you might have a question about launch wheels for your Frib.
So you would title your topic something like
“f-rib 375 launch wheels”
Or
“Honwave T38ie seats”
This helps us greatly with the search facility and also SEO
A bad topic title would be
“What wheels do I need”
Or
New seat for my Honwave
Thanks guys...
Hope you’re all enjoying the forum and using all it has to offer.
Don’t forget to like and share our Facebook page please

Re: The Forum
Good suggestion, Martin, not only will it help you but a specific topic title is more likely to get meaningful responses than a vague one.

Re: The Forum
Just to keep you all up to date, Google has now deemed our forum as acceptable for mobile viewing and will list more of the forum pages/topics on its search pages. (Mobile first indexing)
Over the next month or so we’ll be moving over to a new host, We’ve been with the same host for four years and to be honest they’ve been terrible. Far too much downtime and regular server errors.
With the new host we’ll hopefully offer a faster forum and safer browsing - as we’ll be upgrading to SSL also, you’ll get a nice green padlock on your url/address bar when visiting and signing in.
The usage of SSL technology ensures that all data transmitted between the web server and browser remains encrypted, so no risk of anyone obtaining your username/email or password.
I’ll update on here when we’re ready to move...
it shouldn’t affect anything but the forum will be down for a couple of hours until we migrate everything over to the new host.
As ever, this forums success is purely down to you guys and your superb input..
We’ll be starting our 5th year in January, so thankyou to every single one of you for your support and input
Well done guys

Re: The Forum
A few mods coming shortly, I'm on with them now...
1) Video embedding has become a pain since the youtube update offers youtu.be links instead of the youtube.com, so you'll soon be able to post a libnk directly and that'll embed the video automatically.
2) New link boxes hopefully at the bottom of the pages. A discussion will be had as to what you want on there.
3) still working on that
