Re: F-rib 2.75, 6hp set-up.
So I now have a couple of little problems Ive come across, after trying for nearly an hour to figure why I couldn't inflate the boat it transpired the fitting on the pump was missing the little plunger to depress the valve. There are lots on ebay but I don't know if they are comptable, perhaps someone would be good enough to send me a link...
I also have a leaking valve, could well be dirt behind it. It seems to seal when the bung is in but hissing the second the seal i removed.. Is this the correct wrench for removal? I take it its just a simple job of unscrewing the valve and cleaning up or is anything likely to drop inside the tube? What make of valve is it if I need to replace it?

Decent little vid here from NRS on removing/cleaning a valve. Although showing a Leafield valve, the procedure is similar for many types.

The Leafield adapter is available through IBS Boat Supplies. Measure your air pump hose size as the adaptor is available for two pump tube diameters.

Hi Alan,
Can’t quite tell from Steve’s pics but think it looks to be one of the pre Leafield equipped models, with the generic Halkey Roberts type valves.
Hopefully someone with an F-Rib of similar age will be able to advise on suitable adapters.
We had an early F-Rib, and remember it arrived without any valve adapters...great. Luckily found one in the spares box that fitted with the addition of a few washers.

Re: F-rib 2.75, 6hp set-up.
Steve,
Those are the same we had on ours. Not genuine Halkey Roberts but some sort of clone. Can’t recommend an exact hose fitting or removal tool I’m afraid, sorry.
It looked liked this but don’t know exact model.
C’mon F-Rib guys. Help this man out.
