its probably to late now to be of help, but maybe for some one in the future.
I got out 2.5 miles off Peterhead the day before storm Babet hit , great day out sun , wavelets and gentle swell. Caught one 2 " whiting.
But I digress the next day while the storm raged the boat was in the garage drying out and I miraculously remembered to take some photo's of the bushes etc I fitted for my beachmaster wheels.
The rub marks on the bottom strip are those i mentioned of the wheels rubbing when you push backwards because the wheel mounting plate are not quite far enough off the transom for the degree of flex in the drop arms.

Re: Rugged Launch Wheels - Fitting Advice
Hey there!
Welcome to the Honwave community, and congrats on becoming a new owner! Exciting times ahead.
As for the wheels, it's common to install them on the outside to avoid any potential damage when folding the boat. Many users find it practical.
For sealing the wood after drilling, using CT1 is a good call. It provides a strong seal. Smearing some on the exposed areas sounds like a smart additional step to protect against potential water damage.
Hope your installation goes smoothly, and happy boating! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
