Came across this the other day and I think it's a top-notch comment so I'll quote it verbatim:
Bombard is called a 380... but it measures 3.65. The Elling is called a 350 yet measures 3.6.
Internally despite the stated overall length of the Aerotec being 3.8m it is actually shorter internally than the 3.5m Elling by 20cm and due to the Elling's more square bow there is loads more floor space and it's more useable being totally flat.
What this is telling me is that there's no clear correlation between internal or external sizes between manufacturer. The weights are a matter of record. I wonder if someone has internal/external dimensions for the Excel and Honwave?

Now I am puzzled, you are right in Takacat website the weight is less, the info I posted came from an authorised dealer in Switzerland. Anyone in the forum owning a Takacat that can give testimony of the true weight?

Some of the more regular/eagle eyed visitors to this site, will have spotted that I've bought Defford's Honwave package..
It will be tried out this week akthough I feel a traitor to my 460, so I'm trying to take both. Whatever, the T38ie will fit in my XC90 without even putting the middle seats down and probably can still fit the Mercury 20hp efi too! So the trailer may be superfluous but I'll see later if I ever use it.
I'll keep you all up to date.

Plus the takacat breaks down into two bags, so even easier to lift and pack, can't wait for my 380lx to arrive.
