@sonny1 it's the love that makes it a special place to be!! :gayslap . My fuel tank s and battery are in together aswell. I reckon you would need quite a heavy build up of vapour before it would go bang anyway . I once saw a twat using a lighter ( turned up full ) to light a cigarette at Fleet services, and I m still here to tell the tale. I must admit I take the fuel out before doing anything to the electrics.
If you want to get some weight in the bow how about a bag of sand Inthe front locker , or for a more " permanent" solution a bag of post mix!! :rofl

If you need weight up in the bow fit loads of chain to your anchor. Chain is quite heavy, and it will make your anchor much more effective. No point carrying around sand when you can carry something much more useful

Good call there, Chris. The only downside is that you have to haul that up from the bottom when you weigh the anchor! Good for building muscels though.
Not a complete idiot - some parts are missing.

It's not as bad a people think. I had 45 metres of all chain on my sailing yacht and no windlass. So the only way to retrieve it was manually hand over hand. I regularly used to haul in 30 to 35 metres of chain, and occasionally we put out nearly all of it.
