Re: Railblaza Rod Holder II
Hi
Martin mentioned them to me the other day.
I will probably invest in a side port because next year I will need to be able to hold 2 rods and 2 cups.

Did you use the screws that came with the side port?Gybemaster wrote:I also use Railblaza products, and they are great, and extremely versatile. The cleatport rib mount is excellent, and I have had no problem with mine at the bow.
I went for the side port mounts for the rod holders, as these screw neatly in to the corner of the transom, and no bolts are required. The fitting is very strong and secure and does not interfere with the folding.

Did they not go straight though the transom?
Have you got any photos?

Re: Railblaza Rod Holder II
Guys, If you're not wanting to drill your transoms, Have you considered the Railblaza TracPort Dash
Its not cheap, but when you recon it fastens to a single mount - turning that single into three mounts..... it'll no doubt cure your problems utilizing the seat mount without drilling more holes.
It's neat, tidy, strong & stable...perfecto ?

I didn't realize you could stick these ones to the tube. I thought you had to have the special rib mounts?Martin wrote:Fitted my quickports today James, not wanting to risk them coming g off so got them held in place with a ratchet strap

Re: Railblaza Rod Holder II
You can buy different variants Pritch, The ones i have on the tubes are called quickport, they come with the 3m VHB adhesive pad, They also do the ribport with a 3m VHB pad. I've purchased quite a lot of the railblaza stuff over the last few years, Due to large costs of thgis stuff i wait until offers are on or people have bought them and flogged them unused on fleabay etc. I haven't paid retail price for anything yetpritch wrote:I didn't realize you could stick these ones to the tube. All the mount bases they do can be glued on, but i'd rather not do that.. My preference is the adhesive pads. Fitted properly they should be fine
Rather than spoil this thread, I'll be posting updates later on my build thread once i have them all finished. (Rod mounts, Table, Bow canopy, Bow seat mod)

I'm about to buy some of the Rib mounts but my only concern is where I want to mount them, half of the mount would be on a double layer of denier , not giving you a perfect flat surface. Do you think this may cause a problem with the 3m pads?
Thanks
