Storing a Frib vertically

Post by Man on Mann 1 » 10 Feb 2024, 07:28

Hi

I have a F-Rib 330 which I keep folded in my van

Currently I store it vertically in the van strapped to the back of the seats with some padding under it.

As such the bottom is where one of the folds is. This is great for saving space but is this advisable or will it damages the boat

Hi Paul, although I don't own a frib i would have read the information that came with it when you purchased it.

The do's and don'ts if you know what I mean.

But , personally if your supporting the main frib structure and it's not resting on the inflatable tubes I feel your ok.

Avoid prolonged creases , from time to time pull it out and inflate it.

You mention padding which is good too, also restraining it from movement will also help. But not to tight to put strain on the seams.

The only negative thinking about it in the van may get too hot ?

A photo would speak louder than any words and give a better insight .

As I'm doing at the moment with my sib I've unpacked and inflated it to check and give it a clean.

There's a polish and wax available I use a cheap waterless wash and wax in a trigger spray bottle, this helps keep the boat supple.

Hope this helps if your still unsure put some photos on, you may have to resizer them as mine had to be done to post on here.
