Swivel seats ?

Post by Bam On A boat » 18 Dec 2023, 17:54

Not got out much due to the weather/ time of year sure most of you are in the same boat aka not out in your boat aswell.
So I've basically jst been constantly looking at possible trips / stuff to buy for the boat etc.

Has anyone fitted swivel seats to their sib?

I have an airfloor so obviously can't have a Pedestal screwed down. But I've found what look like very comfy folding boat seats on amazon and ebay for u der 100 quid for a pair you've probably all seen similar.

they can be attached to a swivel mount 135mm squared... my ally benches are 200mm wide. I'm thinking buy a pair of 2 seats and bolt one on each bench. Easy enough to remove if more than 2 people on the boat..

So just checking if anyone else has done this?
Are those chairs as comfy as the pictures suggest ?
Am I missing something with how easy this would be.. seems like 4 holes drilled through the bench and some nuts n bolts.

Am I missing something with how practical these will be I.e sitting too high out the water etc etc.

Boab.

Cheers Oldman. I did actually search but never saw anything somehow.

I see on the first post they mention it being rocky/ unstable when mounted on the 200mm benches.. I thought this might be a possibility.
Wil look into it a bit more..

I will say, the seats I was looking at look much comfier/ more bad ass than the one in the other thread lol.
