Latest Little Avon and yamaha

I managed to last all of lockdown without buying a boat... and prices over summer were daft.. but managed to pick up an avon 310 riblite and 8hp yamaha today .

Keep me busy for a few weeks !

I've never owned a small 2 stroke yamaha.. but this looks like new under the hood!! Still got the toolkit in there and not rusted up either! Need a service and new prop.. and some tlc

Great little boats that fold down really flat...did it come with the fancy Avon storage bag.

Unfortunately no bag... but they do pop up for sale from time to time. I need to get the bilge pump off it and consider stripping the antifouling off it and general tlc really...

Is pretty heavy.. i need to dig up the specs on it...

Facebook market place.... ! But the guy selling was the sparky on my house extension a few years ago... so he dropped it off to me before I'd paid ... Nice people in the world...

Wowsers, great find @PeterM ... Harrisons flyer has it with a folding transom, I wonder if Avon were the first with that idea then ?
Cracking little outboard, I have a 9hp 1878 suzuki in superb condition and i can't bring myself to sell that either.. Prob never use it again but just can't sell it.

Looking forward to seeing the PeterM makeover that little rib will get.
I think you and @Si Crowe must be the Avon kings when it comes to find and replenish
