help, need fishing partner

Post by bodger » 18 Sep 2020, 09:51

I have posted about needing a fishing buddy,(no replies), so I'll give it another shot, until I get someone I cant go ahead with buying a 330 sib so does any member know of anyone who would like to go fishing, their is no cost to them as long as they have rods/reels and bait, the only requirement is they have a vehicle, I live in Eastleigh so anyone in surrounding area. All they will need to do is help launch & retrieve, Age is not a concern in fact retiree would be ideal, please give this some thought . theirs got to be someone out their :yay bodger

Move to Kent and we could take it in turns with who's boat we use :wavey

But I think Eastleigh is a bit too far for this retiree to :drive for a bit of fishing.

I do wish you luck in finding a fishing partner, I would suggest joining a local sea angling club and looking there for someone.

I'd love to join you, bodger and Roger would make a good pairing! but I'm a bit far away too.
If anyone fancies helping me to set up and launch off the Forth coast in Fife, let me know.
Loads of mackies out there just waiting to throw themselves onto feathers!
cheers
Roger

Shaun, best offer so far, How far is Epsom?, I think it's the smoke. If so that's an hour at least. I don't drive so although the offer is appreciated I just can't get to you. I do thank you though Shaun. I am quite disappointed, I was at first excited to think I had someone that offered. Thank you again. bodger :yay

Bodger, i drive. Boat on trailer so can launch anywhere. Often launch on hayling. No fishing in Epsom, so will be driving to the coast.

Bodger, it sounds like your busting to get out on the water, but is it really worth you buying a sib/f-rib if you don’t drive?

I’m sure there’s a few folk on here that would from time to time take you out on their boat for a spot of fishing, especially if you’re any good at it.. only thing half of us catch is a cold or a bloody smelly welly.
Maybe save your brass and keep an eye on the events page.
Is it getting out on a boat or the fishing side that appeals most ?

Martin :cheers
