Any slipway open on the Yorkshire or Lincolnshire coast?

Post by Ronky001 » 22 May 2020, 16:57

Hi Guys and Gals, it's been a while since I posted on here, I hope you are all well.
We are looking for any slipways that are open on the yorkshire or Lincolnshire coast so my mate can launch his rib. I have a sib but haven't been able to use it yet due to covid-19 and need him to sail along with me as my security and mentor. Safety in numbers.
All help greatly appreciated.
Dan.

Thanks beerbelly. We have and have found all the slips but unfortunately due to Covid-19 we haven't found one that is open.

@Ronky001 I live on the East Yorkshire coast and it’s hard to find a good launch site at the moment due to the lockdown. There are a few beaches you could launch from if you fancy lugging. Your boat over some soft sand. I think you can launch from the North Prom at Cleathorpes.

Thanks Gray.
Beach launch is ok for my sib but not possible for my mates rib. He is an experienced boater who was going to come on my sib for my first few outings. Due to social distancing this is not now possible so was going to take his rib and observe and advise from a safe distance.
