I was recomended Launching Trousers (tks Paul B). https://www.tridentuk.com/gb/trident-dr ... c-743.html
they have latex feet, and the trousers are light and comfortable to wear all day... top of with a cag or waterproof jacket.. and life jacket.. only used a few times but excellent. a pair of wetsuit boots or old trainers and good to go..
Exactly what I have, and a pair of Lomo wetsuit boots.. ohyeh
Works for me.
Top end, warmed by multiple layers and Finished off with a BR1
Gas mark 6 for 12hrs :yay

Very similar thing to waders but without wellies attached, they have neoprene socks in instead.
Very comfy, hard wearing and made from similar material as dry suits.

Yep - I also have the Trident launching trousers, I tighten the waist belt to stop/slow down water ingress should I go in the drink, mine are also breathable which is great for comfort on a warmer day. At this time of year and into late May I wear my trident custom breathable dry suit. Wore the dry-suit all day on 2 full day trips in Oct and had zero noticeable condensation build up in the suit, very warm and comfy.
Why am I here - I should be in my boat fishing!!

This link has interested me, and I was a bit bored today so did a bit of surfing (Web surfing). I came across what is called Leeda Volare Breathable Stockingfoot Waist Waders. Which their are many brands available, some up to like £400. They call them breathable, but I have a fishing top thats breathable, but it should be re-named "very sweatable"

These are about £75. So, would you sweat your taters off in summer in strong sunshine with these ? In mid summer out on the boat with my fair hair, I would have to wear summit on my legs otherwise even with suncream ill be very red legs. Jeans would consume too much water if ya fall overboard, same as jogging pants. A dry suit is gunna be too sweaty, and surely a floatation suit ya gunna boil in as well.

So, apart from shorts and t shirt which will burn me up on a sunny day, what ya recon ?

(PS, with a life jacket)

On the January Sib outing a few of the guys including @PeterM had leg waders which I had never seen before. Probably a lot easier to get off in the water if needed than the chest waders. They looked like these

Waste Waders...."Now ya talking "
Really good idea, just had a look on eBay and there are quite a few.
Just the job for launching... and if you don't want them on
all day easy to change into something else.
Nice one 👍

Waders don’t make you slip under, any algae, seaweed or loose sand will do that. Once you do slip and flood your waders you will absolutely be in trouble. Even standing up in shallow water can be difficult, swimming is impossible. I don’t know about how buoyant the different materials are but I can tell you from experience that you if it comes down to keeping your head above water unassisted, you will drown. I have several friends who have lost loved ones who were only in street clothes and shoes, and drowned near boat launches. All of them were good swimmers.

PLEASE, PLEASE ALWAYS WEAR A LIFE JACKET ON THE WATER AND MAKE ALL CHILDREN WEAR THEM ANYWHERE NEAR WATER.

My statements above only apply to those wearing waders without a proper life jacket. With a properly fitting life jacket waders don’t pose much a safety risk and I would gladly endorse them.:thumbsup
