Tigga the SR4

Just found this new section for small ribs. I have a 1989 Avon Searider SR4 called Tigga (because it's bouncy and fun fun fun). When I work out how to add a photo I will post some on here. I mainly use Tigga around The Solent, but do tow to other areas from time to time. I would like to explore the Dorset coast (maybe launch from Poole or Portland) and also North Wales (The Menai).

Another picture which is good apart from the grumpy face. I think a wave had just smacked me in the face and it was the middle of winter.

It's a whole load of fun Paul, and these small ribs are cheap to run as well. It does 35 kts flat out, but still averages 0.5 litres per Nautical Mile. Been right round the Isle of Wight in Tigga.

Exactly the reason I'm hoping to get one off Alex next year!
Just need to find a nice trustworthy 4 stroke 50 for it.

Looks a lovely boat Chris.

Blootac

Alex will put together a SR4 to your exact specifications and budget, if I was changing my boat I would get Alex to build my next one as his workmanship is top notch.

A 4 stroke is best but they do push the price up considerably. A new 50hp will be in the region of £6000 for the engine alone, and good second hand 4 strokes hold their value. I don't regret going down the 4 stroke route.
