Do your have any pictures of your setup? You will have to come along to one of our jaunts again some time.

Glad to hear you found some mackerel, they seem to be missing from the south coast at the moment. Well, I can’t find them at any rate.
Not a complete idiot - some parts are missing.

I only use 12 litre fuel tanks, to keep weight down in the back. I wanted to put all the juice up front, but they wouldn't do it, so I put x1 under the seat and one in the anchor locker up front, along with x2 sand bags to keep the nose down. I need to get the trim adjusted so that the prop goes in towards the transom a little, as the farthest setting means the engine leg with max in, is still straight, this means it starts to porpose at anything above say 3500 revs, so they are going to put it on a laptop to see if they can program it to go in a little, too much and the transome gets wrecked lol. Having said this, I think the design and size of the rib, having a very high bow compared to other ribs, means it prob will bounce a bit. Putting the spare tank and a couple sand bags up front has helped enourmously.
the thing is really comfy at about 12-16 knots and 3000 revs, and I guess as regards fuel usage, from start point in Scotland at the Marina to the top of Loch Long used 3/4 of a tank, at around 12-14 knots (Speed restriction on this loch) From mem that was about 3 hours on way ish.

Xtreme trailer with rear swing arm rollers, means its dead simple for one person to retrieve, and you can launch it with ya little finger !

Ill upload some pics ltr

@Andy Fuel economy sounds much on par with mine, possibly a bit better. I find the going can get uncomfortable above about 16 knots as well, but as I have a jockey seat it's easy to take the bumps through my legs if necessary. As Chris said it would be good to see you again on an event.

Lol, Na not yet, still playing with trim and decent water.
I did have it up to about 24 knots at Poole Harbour where the waterskiers go (No one was looking) I did have a fat lump of a person on the front seat to help ! lol ! But I was running in at the time.

That’s a really nice boat. I’m glad you have found something which suites your needs better than the T40.
Interesting you saying you have sandbags your the front - @sonny1 could maybe try that as he has real problems keeping the nose down as his is tiller steer so he sits at the stern.
I guess that’s the problem with the bench seat type setup - it tends to put the weight at the back. Everything is a compromise though.
Where do you sit when fishing? One of the things which has put me off ribs is the amount of useable deck space (although having seen Roy’s Zodiac in action I am beginning to wonder if it is such a big issue - you should see the size of the grin his boat puts on his face!)
Not a complete idiot - some parts are missing.

Bleedin Ell....Andy’s back! :welcome or :help

Where ya bin lad? Round the world on ya new rig? Sounds like you’ve been busy anyways.

New boat looks spot on, nice one. :yay

What’s all this about trim problems?
Never heard that before about Ocean Runners with comfort seating layout. Not!
Get a big mate to sit up front on the suicide seat, and wind up the revs. That’ll sort it.

Seriously (and I can’t believe I’m recommending these), if extra trim in and all else fails, might be worth trying a set of doel fins.....some of the Stingray models are a boltless design so no drilling of av plate. Might take a slight edge off top speed, but should lift the stern to help control porpoising and maintain planing at slightly lower speeds.

Funny, I was looking at them the other day, Ill see how I get on, on my next visit out, week after next I think, don't like getting wet !
I nearly had the thing nicked the first day out. I stayed overnight at a hotel near Poole. Parked it right next to reception and bar area, and bloody cheaky theives bolt cropped the tow bar lock, and nearly had it away. Cops came and they buggered off without it, close ! So now new mega padlock and wheel clamp lol.
