That Highfield looks great, I’m a bit of a closet fan of them too.
I had to bash myself with a big stick though as my boat needs to be a folding/roll up variety so I can caravan and boat using just the navara to get to the holiday location.
The FRIB does it all for me so I’m very happy with that - at the moment

The twatso efi is a new concept for them and although it should be great, I like to go with the tried and tested motors. I bought the efi Suzuki at 44kg and I have to say it’s one hell of an outboard.
Paul’s carb version of the twatso has been a cracker, fingers crossed it does the trick for you :thumbsup
F-RibsAndSibs.Com.... :whistle
Because it's a big old WWworld out there

:cheers Cheers Martin, I'll be towing a caravan and rib, 310 rib on top of the disco, deflated and wrapped in a car cover I have for long journeys, I understand that a bigger rib would be a problem, hence the members on here with sibs and f-ribs. As for the tohatsu efi it will have a 7 year guarantee and I believe the manufacturers test by running a motor CONTINUOUSLY :clappy for 13 months. I will check out the Suzuki before I decide, but I have sold myself on the 20 hp :waterski

YEAH!! get the 20! you can never have too many ponies... i'm a big fan of putting the biggest rated lump you can on the transom (if your back can handle lifting) lets face it, nobody has EVER said "oooh, i wish i had less power!"

As a tender i may only have a seago 240 airdeck, but its rated to 5hp so damn it, that's whats going on it after aquiring an ex RNLI 2 stroke mariner/tohatsu/mercury (all the same damn thing). At least with me on board it'll get up on the plane no problem as the sib weighs 25kg and the engine is only 20kg... just my fat arse to slow it down. :drive :drive
If it has t*ts, tyres or floats......it's gonna cost ya!

mate, i had an Avon S3.45 £3.5m) Super sport that was rated to 30hp... it had a 40hp bolted on... ok i had a steering console but the boat loved the extra ponies and it effing flew. if the rib is rated to 20, it'll take 25 no worries. it's all the EU safety shite at play there... you won't have any issues.

For the most part, alot of rib's are under rated for horse power...but as you can see below... didn't hurt the avon... don't get me wrong, i don't shun common sense and safety but on occasion it gets put to one side...

Impressive :thumbsup , better than the one described in the Urban Dictionary (who makes these up???)

TOP DEFINITION
RoosterTail
the brown streak that occasionally runs up your back from an acute case of explosive diarrhea.
Dude, do me a favor and check my shirt for a RoosterTail --- I damn near sharted on the way to the mens room!
#diarrhea #streak #shart #poopstreak #skidmark :rofl :asskick
