Hi, Thanks for the add!
I've had a SIB for 3 years and I'm still learning every trip out on the water.
I'm on the lookout for a new SIB as my Zodiac 3.1 airdeck needs some serious glue work on its seams and I'm not sure I'd trust it fully...I much prefer to stay safe!
I have a Evinrude commercial 9.9 (1996?) which is in great condition but now I'm thinking of getting an Excel 360 or 390 airdeck and thinking of a 15hp bigger engine but I can't decide on exact boat/engine combo....so many pros and cons!! Any advice would be appreciated. The boat would be mostly used for river/lake pleasure trips with the better half and dog and plenty of inshore sea fishing mostly South Wales and Cornwall. Thanks John

Hi John, welcome aboard.
When you say air deck, are you aware of the different floor types?

Some great reading here for you if you need a pointer or two..

Honwave do a superb T38ie high pressure V floor, it really is a remarkable craft.
The excels are nice boats too, the equivalent to a T38ie would be the Voltaire, a slightly different hull design but again a quality craft.

Martin :cheers
F-RibsAndSibs.Com.... :whistle
Because it's a big old WWworld out there

Different floor types

Hi Martin,
I wasn't aware but am now thank you. Reading other posts on the Honwave, their quality dropped so is it the models with IE after them that are the better/improved build quality? As I've see a couple of T40's without the IE and I really want something that's going to last a good few years this time!!
Cheers
John
