Good Morning Lady's and Sirs!

2 years ago i bought myself a 2.7m quicksilver inflatable with a 2.5hp 2 stroke to bimble up the river Thames while camping for a week in Oxford. I ended up loving it and we clocked up some proper miles. Since then i have taken it camping all over country.

I'n the last year iv been using it down the river Hamble in Southamton etc for some light fishing and general larking about.

Last week i'v taken the step up and bought a 2nd hand 3.8mm Honwave soft floor (in mint con). I'm now in the market for a 20 - 25hp outboard to suit.

It would be great to meet up with some of you guys and blast around the solent etc... (as i'v seen on youtube of you guys)

Thanks,

Kind Regards

Phil Douglas

:wavey Hi Phil and :welcome to the premier inflatable boating forum.

I'm up in Bonny Scotland during the summer but back in Berkshire for much of the year so not a million miles from you, hope to meet up sometime.

Look forward to hearing more about your floaty adventures and as you may have gathered we love seeing pictures and videos.

Meanwhile, set your anchor here awhile and enjoy the banter, also ask away if there's anything you're not sure of.

:cheers

Hiya Phil, :welcome to fribs & sibs forum.
The T38 you've purchased is a cracking boat, I owned one previously before my FRIB and was delighted with it's all round capability.
Fitted to my T38 was a suzuki DF15 the same as what's for sale by another member, so maybe have a chat with him and see if you can agree a sale :clappy
Here's a link to the DF15 that's for sale, it's a short shaft you require on the T38 so unfortunately the 25hp isn't the right length for your boat. http://f-ribsandsibs.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1814

Enjoy the forum buddy, great folk and a great site

Thanks guys,

After looking around for an outboard, Its probably not the best time of the year to but a second hand engine (mid summer) prices all see to be high. Thanks for all the advice guys :)

Regards

Phil
