Gloucester docks
Hi Everyone :I'm New
My name is Trist aged 39 from Weston super mare near Bristol l brought a honwave t40 with a Honda 20hp 4 stroke with transom wheels (which are easy to put down but quite hard to get up)

I am new to sibbing have had mine for about 3 months and took it out on the Gloucester to sharpness canal launched from Frampton on Severn and ended up in Gloucester docks that was for the first trip and me and the misses(Emma) loved it since then wanted to try it in the sea so took it out couple of times in the Bristol Channel launching from Weston super mare and enjoyed it even more hope to get out a lot more so it gets easier to launch going to try Bristol harbour at some point
Kept on reading posts on this site and seeing a few of you going out in groups which sounds good fun and safer and the nice thing everyone got roughly the same boats and it's seems a friendly site so decide to join. :wavey

Hi Trist and Emma, :welcome aboard Fribs And Sibs... Thanks for the great intro :chat
As said, we have a cracking bunch on here, we love getting out on the wet stuff whenever and wherever possible. I'm pretty safe in saying you'll have a great day out if you join get chance to join us on the 29th or any other time :drive

The Honwave I had was a T38ie, cracking sib, very well built and very capable. I think it was Matt who had the T40ae, and Kaman with a T35ae, both who'll vouch for the build quality and capability.
20hp, great size outboard for the size/weight... :Boxsmile

Enjoy the forum, if there's anything you need help with... then just yell :help

Regards,
Martin :cheers
F-RibsAndSibs.Com.... :whistle

Welcome mate. I had a t40 for a couple of seasons so any issues i should be able to help out. 1 little tip to help you build her up is keep a cheapo bottle of washing up liquid to hand to coat the inners of the side rails before building and you will find it will all go together alot easier as i know them side rails can be a right royal pain in the ass. The aluminium rails can pitt and grip to the floor so that washing up liquid keeps everything free and slippery......ohhhh eeeeerrrr
Life is like a chocolate bar........
If you hold onto it for too long u get covered in sh☆t so......

Hi wolavington and :welcome to the forum, some great info on here plus loads of friendly banter so join right in.

I've got the baby sister of the Honwave family, T32ie with inflatable floor + 15 hp 2st which is as big a setup as I can manhandle on my own and plenty big enough for my needs.

I notice you've got the same Honwave splash cover/ bag I bought, which is spoiled by coming with a very poor fixing setup, rendering the spray-dodger function fairly useless. I have modified mine and it is now much more effective - I did do a post with full details and pictures, which I was going to give you a link for but I've searched and can't find it, so guess it must have been during the period when the site was infiltrated and a couple of weeks worth of threads had to be discarded.

I'll dig out the photos again and repost when I get a chance, you may find it useful.

Look forward to hearing more of your adventures.

:cheers
cheers
Roger
