I aslo put a "negative" (anti-clockwise) twist in the pipe too. So the pipe trying to return to its "untwisted" position also helps hold it in place on the valve too ohyeh :pump :thumbsup

I'm not really a Hobbit, just look like one. Real name is "Andy".

No luck with my RYA course... original one was cancelled as I was the only sign up and they need a minimum of 2. Been trying Heritage Park in East Kilbride non-stop which is proving to be just as fruitless... was promised a call back with the suggestion that it could maybe be condensed with just me doing it but heard nothing since. About 20 attempted phone calls later I have had to abandon the idea and will just try taking the boat out next weekend anyway. Very dissapointing!

Perhaps as a group F-Ribs and Sibs should be opening up a dialogue direct with Honda themselves to discuss our concerns over quality and how we can obtain a supply of "quality checked" T38's for members.
I wrote a very reasonable and measured email to Honda expressing the concerns re: QC and received an acknowledgment which promised a reply within 5 days. That was nearly two weeks ago...Perhaps one from the forum might get a response.

Fortunately for me, Excel Boats are only 10 minutes from my home and the comfort factor of being able to resolve any problems face-to-face swung it for me. I just hope my RD390 measures up to the all conquering T38 which is indisputably a good boat - when it's straight...

We'll find out when we test them down at Poole.

The bayonet (Halkey Roberts) connector with the screw in the middle to hold the valve open is the best one. A search on this forum will find a link to buy one (I think pacer marine sell them).
@chris moody purchased and works a treat :thumbsup

@gratemaker

i'm thinking i will probably go up to Loch Awe either next weekend or the following - just need to fit my launch wheels this weekend. My mate has a boat as well and thats where he goes so hoping he can come along as well. Have you got the Honwave yet?

First disaster... Why do honwaves own wheels go straight through the name plate!? Spent about an hour plucking out the rivets! Anyone had similar issues???
