Thanks for all the welcomes :D

The weight of the FRIB and the outboard does concern me as my partner won't be much use loading them in and out of the garage and I am prone to back issues.

I've decided that the best way to get the FRIB in and out of the garage is to have it on a pallet or in a shallow wooden box. Maybe with a couple of nylon strips to act as runners over the checkerplate garage floor. That way I could slide it out and drop the leading edge of the pallet/shallow box on to the ground and the FRIB would be out. The reverse for loading it. That way should be easy to lift it in and out.

Not too sure how I will get the outboard in. It's 40kg so it is going to have to go on a trolley. I'm going to make some wooden pattens of the folded FRIB and outboard and have a play around to see how everything can fit together.

Hi, Tom

Maybe you need something like this:

http://www.liftruck.co.uk/shop/mobile-s ... Arjb8P8HAQ

Although you'll then need another one to lift the trolley into the garage. And so on, ad infinitum! :thud

(Anyone remember Gerard Hoffnung's tale of the penknife??)

:cheers
cheers
